Civilian mail censorship in WWI

Most civilian mail, including mail to the serving military, underwent censorship. This picture postcard was sent in September 1915 from Ujvidek (now Novi Sad) in Croatia to Wien (Vienna) in Austria and carries a K.u.K. Militär-Zensurkommission UJVIDEK censor cachet. The censor has added is initials in the form of a purple pencil mark over the dated postmark.
